Becoming a Member

Our pastor and elders serve Desert Son Community Church by teaching God’s Word, shepherding the flock, and guiding the church with prayerful wisdom. Together, they are committed to equipping believers, guarding sound doctrine, and leading with humility as servants of Christ. 
We use the word “member” in the following ways:
  • To describe a believer united in heart to Christ and His people. He is so united by being a member of His Body, and, as a picture and expression of this, he is a member of a local body of believers, which is a physical representation of the universal, spiritual Body of Christ.
  • To indicate the soul toward whom the elders have an obligation before Christ and for whom the Pastors will give an account on the day of judgment.
  • To indicate one who has entered into a relationship of mutual covenant accountability with each other and with those who are officers of the church (elders and deacons).
